	Mining in Sri Lanka has developed very rapidly during the recent past. The Government policies to free the importation of rough gemstones have significantly increased the supply of materials. Incentives granted to the lapidary industry reflect noteworthy achievements in the quality and quantity of production. You will reap the heights of all these developments in our show.

This is what we said to promote our first show. "Gem & Jewellery industry in Sri Lanka is well poised for a novel debut of a mid year show that will go into the international Calendar.
Sri Lanka needs well-organized trade fairs to help its traders and producers establish direct contacts with the global market. The Colombo Show is expected to fulfill this. Until now, several companies in Sri Lanka did not have the direct exposure to the outside market."

Not only it is going to be bigger in size, it will be better organized with special emphasis on raising the quality with a record increase in the number of expected visitors.


Visiting The Exhibition
All manufactures, wholesalers, retailers, importers, exporters, designers, gemmological educational institutions, machinery & equipment dealers representing all sectors of the gem & jewellery industry are welcome. Registered visitors will be admitted free.

Exhibit your product

There will be two large exhibition halls A & B. The main hall A will display both gems & Jewellery items and the second hall B will be exclusively dedicated to jewellery and other items and services.

	New trade fair in Sri Lanka

	New trade fair, The Colombo Show, was held at the Convention and Exhibition Center at the Bandaranayake Memorial International Convention Hall in Colombo, Sri Lanka for the first time from May 9 to 11, 2005.
